Standard Features Explained
The following features are provided as standard for every website we rent, regardless of which package you choose:
FREE Website Design
Following an appraisal of your business, we will decide which content is most important, what colours, styles should be used to best suit your market. It's then down to the our graphical designers to create the look which is then in turn hand-coded ready for the web. Custom design is available as an extra option.
FREE Web Hosting
We have a dedicated server provided by Webfusion. We spent some time researching and testing different Companies and have found Webfusion to be superb. The pages load fast, they are secure and lots more geeky stuff besides!
FREE Domain Name
We will provide you with a .co.uk domain name for the duration of your rental. If you require a .com or .net domain we will require a £10 fee due to the extra costs involved.
FREE E-Mail Accounts
We will provide you with unlimited e-mail addresses such as yourname@yourwebsite.co.uk or accounts@yourwebsite.co.uk. If you'd prefer a Gmail account (Google) we can provide you with up to 10 free accounts. Additional Gmail accounts require a Google business account and their relevant fees.
FREE Database
Some of the more complex systems you may wish to add (such as help ticket support systems) will require a database. One free MYSQL database can be provided for each website.
NO Contract or Tie-In
We'd prefer you to stay with us because of the quality of your website and our service, not because of small print or 12 month contracts. All we require is one months notice.
NO Hidden Costs or Charges
There are no hidden set-up fees or admin costs. All our costs are shown on each relevant package page and on our Add-ons page.
NO Risk or Initial Outlay
A web presence is essential nowadays and we hope that small businesses will now be able to have one, wothout having to fork out hundreds or thousands of pounds.
Advanced Contact Form
All our website rentals include a professional contact form for customers to use. Not only does displaying your E-mail address on a website lead to increased spam, a contact form adds that professional touch and supplies you with well formed logical e-mail enquiries.
Google Optimised Code
Templates, build-it-yourself websites and many offered by web design firms are often code heavy. Google has a hard enough time trawling through millions of websites trying to match their relevance with keywords. The highest ranking websites are the ones that make it easy for Google to read. We pride ourselvs in keeping our code light and scemantically correct.
Print Friendly Code
How many times have you printed a web page, only to find half the content missing or 1 page is spread over 3! We include code that ensures your pages print as your customer would expect.
Cross-Browser Compatibility
Which browser do you use? Internet Explorer? Which version - 6, 7, 8? Or do you use Firefox, or Safari? You may be viewing your website as you expect to see it but is your customer? Different browsers display web pages in different ways. You need to know that your website is maintaining the professional look you're trying to portray, not with bits of text missing and strange lines and blocks of colour all over the page. We are meticulous in ensuring cross-browser compatibility, by inserting special lines of code to address different issues these browsers have, and ensuring your website is displayed in handsets and portable devices.
